Pushking: The World As We Love It
Pushking was formed in 1994 by Russian musicians with an appreciation of American/English rock music. Pushking's style is a blend of classic and hard rock elements. They have built a strong following in Europe and were able to entice big name artists to perform on their 2011 release The World As We Love It.
The nineteen track CD features songs from their past with an impressive list of players such as Billy F Gibbons from ZZ Top on the energized "Nighttrider" and the bold, ballad like "It'll Be OK".
Paul Stanley of KISS kicks up "Cut The Wire" and Glen Hughes of Deep Purple fame adds his distinctive singing style to four Pushking songs. A number of guitar greats including Steve Vai and Joe Bonamassa bring passion and potency to the Pushking's material.
Graham Bonnet and Joe Lynn Turner who were both in Rainbow at sometime contribute their robust vocals also. The CD closes with the harrowing "Heroin" with haunting vocals from Dan McCafferty (Nazareth) and the stirring "Kukarracha" featuring an all star cast. The World As We Love It is a solid rock album with an impressive list of world class musicians.
