MusicTellers: Keaggy, Gerber, Hayden, Jones

Over a 40 year career Phil Keaggy has become one of the most well respected guitarists in the world. He has an angelic voice and has penned countless Christian and secular songs that span a wide range of styles including rock. Phil has also put out plenty of polished instrumental albums with the latest being MusicTellers (2020).

"A dialogue between masters in their field" is how this project has been described. Phil collaborated with Kyle Jones (percussionist), Shannon Hayden (cello) and multi-instrumentalist and in this case producer Tony Gerber. Together they have spun a colorful collection of musical tales that are vibrant in textures and tones. Middle Eastern beats set the New Age, World vibe of this 8-track collection. The tunes are mellow yet moving. Keaggy fans will hear his signature leads and guitar taps woven into expansive and evocative instrumentals that allow each individual to tell their story within the free flow of their shared muse. MusicTellers is a compelling addition to the Keaggy catalog offering a timely collection of soothing songs for these stressful and strange times.
