Orianthi Is Live From Hollywood and Nashville

by Rich and Laura Lynch

We had the extreme pleasure of watching Orianthi do her thing up close and personal on back to back nights earlier in the year this June when the good looking, axe slinging performer was the very special guest at the one year anniversary celebration for the new guitar mecca in Nashville - the Gibson Garage. Now, fans can hear and see a bit of what we experienced on the artist's brand new record Live From Hollywood - a live album and long-form video available now on CD/DVD and Blu-ray via Frontiers Music.

Orianthi in Nashville at the Gibson Garage in 2022.

Orianthi's first major solo artist success, as a singer-songwriter and guitarist, was with the Geffen Records release of According To You which is now RIAA-Certified Platinum and has over 17 million streams on Spotify. Her music's ability to transcend time and remain relevant cannot be more clear than it's recent resurgence on TikTok.

There are over 83 million views on the "According to You" hashtag making it a viral trend that is introducing Gen Z to Orianthi for the first time in a big way. Career-long fans are used to seeing their favorite world class guitarist playing arenas with rock royalty and global superstars like Michael Jackson, Carlos Santana, Carrie Underwood, Alice Cooper and more. The juxtaposition of her newly arrived online popularity and her lifelong pursuit of artistic credibility is the nebulous of this shining star.

In Nashville, Orinathi was both cute and sultry emerging on Night #1 in a tie-dyed combo mini-skirt, saving the sexy matching leather combo for her headlining slot on Night #2 perhaps dressing up for Pantera's Rex Brown who was also in the house. She appeared to be having the most fun trying on a variety of Gibson's signature products for size including her own Orianthi SJ-200 Cherry that sounded as good as it looked.

"Live From Hollywood" is now available on CD/DVD and Blu-ray via Frontiers Music.

In Nashville, Orinathi was having a blast. She admitted to being enamored with the city and indicated from the stage that she just might be the next famous musician to take up residence here as she was blown away by the quality of players this town has to offer. Case in point - she put together a pick up band on little notice that included Daughtry bass player Josh Paul and with little rehearsal her power trio powered through both sets as if they had been playing together for much longer than just a few hours.

Orinathi displayed her incendiary excellence in Music City on tracks like "Contagious", "Sinners Hymn" and "Heaven In This Hell" that also coincidentally open the set on Live From Hollywood. She revealed her competence and the confident determination that put her on the radar of Michael Jackson early on for his tour that never happened. That exposure, however, would soon lead her to a stint with Alice Cooper and a romantic and business partnership with Richie Sambora. In 2022, she has firmly taken the reigns back to guide her solo career into new and uncharted territory. With a new studio record on the way the future is looking fine - just like Ms. Panagaris.

"LIVE FROM HOLLYWOOD" Track List: Contagious | Sinners Hymn | Heaven In This Hell | Think Like A Man | You Don't Wanna Know | What's It Gonna Be | Blow | Impulsive | Blues Won't Leave Me Alone | According To You | How Do You Sleep
