Trixter Is Up to Some New Tricks - Band Prepares For Exciting New Era in 2015
by Rich and Laura Lynch
New Jersey-based hard rockers Trixter are back in 2015 with a new bag of tricks that is sure to please both their old and new fans alike. Setting up in a high-tech performance studio in Waldwick, New Jersey on March 24, 2015 at the recently christened School of Rock franchise there the boys got down to stamping a lasting impression on a rockin' new era of music with a video shoot for their powerful new single.

"Rockin' to the Edge of the Night" is the striking new Trixter song that will be on their forthcoming album Human Era coming out this summer on Frontiers Records. The band continues their new chapter as a recording unit with this high-energy and anthemic track that reflects the best of their past with a modern edge. Make no mistake, based on this song Human Era promises to be a compelling record and instant classic that should appeal to a wide range of humans around the globe!
Trixter was formed in 1983. Based out of Paramus, New Jersey the quartet built a strong following in the tri-state area, which led to a record deal in 1989. Trixter's self-titled debut along with the related video for "Give It to Me Good" secured Trixter 3 top 50 singles in 1990. Soon, Trixter was on arena tours opening for Kiss, Poison, The Scorpions and more.

Trixter disbanded in the mid 1990's as musical tastes moved from hard rock to grunge but they have re-grouped a number of times in the 2000's. Fast forward to 2015, Trixter is back in the studio and also in front of the video camera. Fans in attendance were treated to an inside look at the process of creating a promotional film and an impromptu concert from the band that featured the new song played about a dozen times or so. Somewhere in New Jersey there's a large group of fans who can't get the infectious "Rockin' to the Edge of the Night" out of their head. Soon, that will be true for the rest of the listening public, too!
Trixter was founded by Steve Brown (lead guitar) and Peter Loran (lead vocals). The rhythm section is P.J. Farley on bass and Mark "Gus" Scott on drums. The video was shot by Jared Barel of Loaded Barrel Studios out of Wayne, New Jersey. The firm is known for their comics, graphic novels and creative film production so we might be seeing the super-rockers from Trixter turned into super-heroes when the final video hits the screens. Until then, we'll be on the edge of our seats!
