Ringo Starr Adds Palpable Star Power to the Musicians Hall of Fame in Nashville

Ringo Starr was presented with the inaugural Joe Chambers Musicians Legacy Award at the Musicians Hall of Fame in Nashville a little over fifteen months ago. On a cold and snowy Wednesday morning - February 19, 2025 - the famed Beatle drummer returned to the venue to help open a new exhibit in his honor called "Beats & Threads" that features Starr's curated drum kits, sticks and snares, personal documents and era defining style statements that made music and fashion history.
Ringo was all smiles at the Musicians Hall of Fame & Museum in Nashville.
There is currently a wave of Ringo-mania sweeping over the region that began with the making of his second country album proper Look Up - recorded in Nashville and Los Angeles that has gone on to become the First No. 1 Country Album Of His Solo Career. The record's launch on January 10 included a two-night, star-studded stand at the Ryman Auditorium under the heading of Ringo Starr & Friends that was recorded for broadcast at a later date.
These famous red jackets from the Strawberry Fields film and the rooftop concert are on display at the M.H.O.F.
Now comes word that RINGO & FRIENDS AT THE RYMAN, a two-hour special celebrating the music and legacy of Ringo Starr through the lens of country music, will air on Monday, March 10 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ in the U.S.
The Beatles led the British Invasion in the early 60's.
Back to the local Ringo-mania! Starr will make his much-anticipated and long overdue Grand Ole Opry debut on Friday night besides other Music City favorites and Opry members Lauren Alaina, Mandy Barnett, Mickey Guyton, Riders In The Sky, Don Schlitz, Molly Tuttle and Rhonda Vincent. One can only wonder if Ringo will get invited to join this exclusive club. He might have to move nearby if so.

Team MCN in a post-ribbon cutting interview asked the icon - with his history in Nashville dating all the way back to the recording of his second solo album Beaucoups of Blues here in 1970 - if he would ever consider taking up a residence in Mid-Tenn.
The main case for "Beats & Threads" includes perhaps the world's largest drumsticks.
"I love L.A. I'm used to the warmth," the warm and gracious Starr admitted as he pointed to the frigid weather taking place just outside of the walls of Municipal Auditorium. "I did actually consider it and I was considering it just this January. Barbara and I were talking it over."
The drum kit from the first Shea Stadium concert has made its way to Music City.
Starr arrived to cheers from the M.H.O.F. staff and was enthusiastically received by a large contingent of local and national press to talk about "Beats & Threads" and his recent flurry of activity in Nashville including the opening of this showcase that was expertly put together by Linda Chambers - Musicians Hall of Fame & Museum's Co-Founder and CEO - and representatives from exhibit sponsor Julien's Auctions.

But hold on, Ringo isn't finished making sure that Ringo-mania keeps spreading across the land directly from the Tennessee State Capitol. As the press event concluded, Starr was set to sit-down for an interview with ABC's 'Nightline' that will hit late night television in March - making that the best news of the day. Because we need all the peace and love we can get in these strange times in America.
